È una giornalista e femminista siriana. È fondatrice e amministratore delegato di Shams for equity and social justice, un’organizzazione che promuove la parità di genere e i diritti delle donne e delle persone Lgbtq in Medio oriente e nord Africa. Nel 2015 è stata nominata giornalista dell’anno da Giornalisti senza frontiere e nel 2016 è stata inserita tra le cento donne arabe più importanti da Reuters Thomson. È rifugiata politica nel Regno Unito.
Zaina Erhaim is a Syrian journalist and feminist.
She is the founder and CEO of Shams For Equity And Social Justice organisation which promotes gender equity and advocates for equal rights for women and LGBTQ+ in MENA region.
She was named the journalist of the year by Reporters without Boarders in 2015, one of the 100 Most Powerful Arab Women according to Arabian Business and the Unsung heroes of 2016 by Reuters Thomson.
She is a refugee in the UK.
